THE ARTIST :: GULGUN (GIGI) TURKER\nClassically trained in Turkey\, Gigi’s work has been exhibited at galleries\, festivals\, and museums internationally\, as well as purchased by private collectors. \n“Gulgun (Gigi) Turker’s art elicits an immediate emotional response\,” notes one critic. “A moment in time is stopped\, a familiar face revealed\, the grace and beauty of a body frozen in time. The viewer becomes more than the observer\, he becomes a participant in the drama unfolding before his eyes.” \nThere’s something absolutely gorgeous about Gigi’s paintings. It’s how she effortlessly blends different mediums together\, transitioning between acrylic and crystal beads to create beautiful pieces of art. She paints beautiful women who not only have style and class but seem to hold a sacred secret. \nTHE MUSICIAN :: MIKE MINEHART \nMike is a Twin Cities-based photographer\, videographer\, and DJ who has collaborated with many Minneapolis musicians and artists for over a decade. He will be honoring what would have been the eve of Prince’s 60th Birthday by focusing on a classic Minneapolis Sound\, with emphasis on the music of Prince\, his peers\, and his followers. As a special treat this will be an audio/visual performance with tracks backed by their music videos.
